Refuse Protocol

An area for trash disposal is provided exclusively for paying customers. This area is monitored on a daily basis for upkeep. The following are rules are in places to keep the area safe and clean for merchants and visitors.

 

Rules

  • All trash must be in bags

  • All trash is to be put inside the compactors

  • Cardboard boxes must be broken down and put inside the recycle compactor

  • The recycle compactor is for CARDBOARD ONLY

  • Oversize articles must be broken down and put inside the containers

  • UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ITEMS TO BE LEFT OUTSIDE OF THE CONTAINER. ITEMS LEFT OUTSIDE OF THE CONTAINER WILL RESULT IN A FINE.

Extra Large Items

If you have extra large items to be disposed of, please contact Huong and we will arrange a pickup and inform you of the cost.

Fines for Abuse

As of January 1, 2018, fines for abuse will be enforced as follows.

  • $50 for leaving bags outside of the compactors

    If receive 3 fines or refuse to pay fines you will be locked out of the compactor and will need to dispose of your own garbage.

You will be billed monthly for abuses and the Westport Health Department will be notified.
